How does handover work if we want to take the project in-house?
Handover is a defined project phase. It is complete when an engineer new to the project can run it locally, deploy it to a fresh environment and understand its key design decisions. It includes source code, infrastructure as code, configuration and secrets transferred to your accounts, architecture documentation, operational runbooks and a working session with your team.
We recommend that cloud accounts, domains, app store identities, signing certificates and third-party subscriptions are registered to your organisation from the start, with Panzex granted access. This avoids complex transfers later.
Documentation focuses on decisions: why an approach was chosen, what alternatives were considered and which constraints shaped the design.
We recommend a support period of one to two months after handover, so your team can ask questions as they make their first changes.
Your right to a full handover is written into the contract.
