Limitations
- Files up to 25 MB, approximately thirty minutes of speech.
- Accuracy is reduced by background noise, overlapping speakers and strong accents. Review transcripts before use.
- Speakers are not identified separately.
- Punctuation is inferred and may need correcting.
- Limited to three transcriptions per minute and twelve per hour.
Questions
- Is my recording stored?
- No. Your recording is transcribed and returned without being stored.
- How long a recording can I send?
- Up to 25 MB, approximately thirty minutes of speech. The limit is based on file size, so high-bitrate files reach it sooner.
- Can it tell speakers apart?
- No. The transcript is returned as continuous text, without speaker labels.
- What are the subtitles for?
- The SRT file contains the transcript with timecodes and can be used to caption a video in most editors and players.
- Does translation affect accuracy?
- It can, as any transcription errors carry through to the translation. For maximum accuracy, use the original-language transcript.
